10 Ways To Know if I Guy likes you...

I always wonder this as I'm too shy to let my feelings be known first so here's a few hints and tips that help me to determine who is and isn't interested from their body language!

1. If he raises his eyebrows up when he looks at you shows a sign of attraction
2. If he glances up and looks away when you spot him staring, and also prolonged staring into each others eyes when talking
3. If when talking he stands directly in front of you with his body and his feet are facing towards you
4. He may touch you on a 'safe' body part suggesting he wants to be close to you
5. If he remembers parts of conversations that seem insignificant to you but he remembers them
6. If he compliments you, this may be indirect for instance "You're smart" it's not direct but he seems to notice this and likes it
7. He starts conversations with you even if you have nothing to talk about, he'll find something in common with you
8. He will neaten his appearance such as his hair or his clothing to make himself presentable to you
9. He will use your name to get your attention more often than others
10. If he acts differently around you than he does with other girls or his friends suggests he wants to make a good impression on you

These aren't an exact science, but they are a brief overview of whether that guy you like, likes you too without having the embarrassment of being let down when he doesn't feel the same way. Look out for these signs and if you get more than one then you might be lucky ! However, these do not always apply to overly flirty guys and more feminine guys who do these more naturally to attract you or to be friends with you. Good luck ! :-)

My failed biscuits!

Hi guys, well yeahh I was going to write a post on my fabulous butterfly shaped cookies I have been making this weekend, however they ended up in complete disaster and I don't even want to share the abomination with you guys hahah...Basically I had to pipe royal icing onto the biscuit to make it look pretty and the royal icing sets hard to give a nice crunch to the biscuit..However the icing went everywhere and went all over my new nails (check previous post) so I gave up after outlining the edges :( I'll attempt these again one day and I'll let you know how I well I did next time, but next weeks baking challenge is farm animal banana cupcakes...hopefully these do not also end in disaster I'll give you an update on what I have baked and how to bake it next weekend so stay posted for these farm animal cupcakes! :-)

My bad habit of biting my nails..and one of the best investments ever!

I bite my nails and have done since I can remember, but due to me becoming older I thought that it was about time I stopped and grew my nails to a nice length to look more 'ladylike'. However, due to my exams coming up and boredom I can't resist having a nibble at my already none existent nails so decided to invest in some gel nail extensions. This was not the first time I had gel nail extensions as I had them done for prom but they were very extreme and the tips were a harsh white. This picture on the right was taken today, a week after I had my nails done at my local market for £20. I think they look very natural and only my close friends who know that I could never give up biting them, have noticed they are even false (which is good because that is the look I was going for). The tips were a 'clear' colour instead of the usual white and the gel is dried by UV light and creates a hard coating. The lady also used a colourless gel in order to also give them a natural look.

No7 Lucky Lilac29/12/11
Okay, so lilac cream isn’t the most seasonal varnish in mid-winter, but I needed to cleanse my metaphorical palate of all the dark colours and heavy glitters I’ve been wearing lately. This has done the job very nicely indeed! No7 brushes are fairly wide, which I enjoy most of the time. However, the formula on Lucky Lilac was slightly on the thick side, so I found that its application was a bit difficult. Not impossibly so, but definitely not as easy as I’d like. On the plus side, it has excellent coverage for a pastel and was nearly opaque in one coat, and completely in two.To maintain my nails I file them regularly in order to get rid of excess skin and old nail peeking out of the sides, I also file them in order to develop a more natural shape as when I first got them done they were very square. I also maintain them by coating them every now and then with a clear nail varnish, to give it a nice sheen and to hopefully make them stronger. At the moment I have painted them with glitter clear in order to hide where the tip is attached to my nail as this is visible due to how short I had savaged my nails to before I had them done. Since having nails I have noticed how much dirt and grime gets behind them - which really isn't that attractive, and I have found one of the best ways to clean them other than with the pointy bit on the nail clippers as this may loosen them is to use my nails when washing my hair in the shower! It is so effective as the hair cleans behind the nails as I massage the shampoo into the hair. Hopefully, I can keep these nails on for 4-5 weeks ! :-) I may even paint these nails with pastel colour such as: No7 Lucky lilac as this is one of springs hottest new trends! I'll keep you posted with the development of my nails over the month to see how I get on functioning without my painfully short stubby nails!

Choosing the perfect pair of shorts....

Trying to find the perfect pair of shorts that don't ride up, don't make you bum look massive, actually fit around the waist, don't get creased and don't show your bum because someone invented the hot pant? Yep? Browsing through the topshop website trying to find a pair of shorts and coming across a cute pair of denim shorts with flowers on them....only to find that they ride up and are extremely short and not worth the £32 price tag ! I then continued to buy shorts from topshop after the disastrous experience and came across a lovely smart city short in turquoise...I bought these shorts even though I knew I would have to adjust the waist because to get these shorts I had to get a size larger so my bum did not look mahoosive !! The shorts fit nice on the leg and are a decent length but crease a lot :( I'm wearing them with tights ATM but wondering whether to brave wearing them in the summer with the nasty feelings of legs sticking to leather in the summer with nasty red marks where I have been sat and where I have crossed my legs ! Great short if I don't sit down though! And they were a much better price at £26 plus my student discount making them much more affordable to a unemployed college girl!

However I couldn't resist my urge to not buy a pair of shorts I've had my eye on for months when I went shopping today and I'd say they were my best topshop short buy ever! They were £26, didn't crease, didn't ride up, couldn't see my bum cheeks and were a lovely style. They were a beautiful cream colour smart suit short with a lovely coral belt, and on a plus side I may even brave these in the scorching heat of the English summers and risk the sticky seats just so I can wear these beautiful shorts. I think finally for the first year in 5 years I have successfully bought several pairs of shorts that I love before September when they are totally useless! I hope you lovely lot have as much success as I did on my search for the perfect cross season short!
