So I've noticed how the only people on Youtube and on their blogs often have really long nails, but I just can't stop biting mine! They are longer than they used to be though, so give me some credit! I painted them this design for the closing ceremony of the Olympics in London 2012. I basically just used whatever nail polish choice I had in red, white and blue.........but also, it would be easier to use thin brushes, I bought a load of brushes for nail art off eBay and used two of the thin ones for the stripes.

Method:
1. Paint a clear base coat over your nails (to stop your nails from yellowing and staining)3. Once dry paint one vertical line down each nail with the white polish and a thin brush
4. Then again using the white paint a horizontal line across each nail
5. Finally paint 2 diagonal lines in white on each nail
6. Wait for all the polish to dry and then repeat steps 3-5 but with the red nail polish and another thin brush
7. Once all nail polish is dry, paint a clear top coat in order to give your manicure a perfect shine and help it to last longer without chipping.
